These charcoal drawings are sourced from found travel postcards from the mid-20th century. They are chosen in order to consider how material manifestations of communication alter the way we tell stories. The choice of a classic medium, coupled with the use of nostalgic imagery underscores the notion that the idea of FOMO is not a new concept, but rather is a archetypal sentiment built into our DNA. This body of work was shown in my solo exhibition at WAAS Gallery in Dallas, TX in 2015.
