FOMO / 2014-2015
This body of work, entitled FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), references both past and contemporary culture. In large-scale charcoal drawings, I reinterpret sentiments of emptiness and angst found from the advent of postcards to present-day engagement with social media. The result is an intersection of modern culture with contemplative tableaux. This body of work was shown in my solo exhibition at WAAS Gallery in Dallas, TX in 2015.
