This body of work arose out of my field research into caves in Texas, Tennessee and New Mexico. These works are made using a similar methodology as my physical paintings - layering, scraping, blending. The results are often stand-alone works which have been exhibited on their own, and also serve as underpaintings for oil and encaustic works.
