DETRITUS / 2018 to present
Detritus is a series of paintings honoring the everyday acts, meals, and items that make up our lives and are easily forgotten or thrown away. This series of oil paintings began as my two children entered adolescence and my role as a mother was dramatically changing. I find it interesting to continually reevaluate items, clothing and foods in our house that we have outgrown or thrown away.
